Requirements
All students must:
Be able to balance a bicycle… knowing how to ride is even better!
Supply and wear required Riding Gear
Complete your online ePackage course before class (both BRC and BRC2 students), and arrive with printed certificate in hand.
Note: we provide access to the proper MSF ePackage, via email, as part of your fee… so please don’t go to the MSF website first to take an “eCourse” or you’ll waste $20. (MSF online courses are not required for ART.)
Complete, and sign the appropriate Course Waiver before class
Possess a valid driver’s license or photo I.D. for class entry.
Review any other requirements specific to the course you are taking: BRC, BRC2, or ART (these will also be included as part of your confirmation email).

Yes, it's required to complete a Motorcycle Training Course to obtain a Motorcycle License in Florida. Our Basic Rider Course is one of the approved options for Florida Motorcycle Licensing. Check our licensing requirements for more detailed information.
-
Yes! No prior riding experience is necessary, but having a good sense of balance is important. If you haven't ridden a bicycle in a while, it's a good idea to practice your balance for at least a week before class.
-
You'll need a motorcycle safety course to get your motorcycle license. At the moment, we only offer the BRC to obtain your motorcycle license.
-
Absolutely! Many experienced riders choose to take our course for a refresher. Plus, you can use the completion card to lower your motorcycle insurance. We welcome you to join us again!
-
We provide the motorcycle and helmet. You should bring a long-sleeve shirt, gloves, sturdy pants, shoes or boots that cover your ankles, and eye protection like glasses, sunglasses, or goggles. For the Basic RiderCourse, you'll use our motorcycles, so no need to bring yours. However, if you own a scooter and prefer to use it, give us a call for more information.
-
Of course! If your helmet is DOT approved, you can use it during the class. Make sure you have full-fingered gloves.
-
The Basic Rider Course is approximately 16 hours in total. You'll spend about 5 hours on online training, and the in-person portion spans approximately 10 hours over two consecutive days.
-
We train in real riding conditions, so we ride rain or shine. Be prepared for any weather; if the forecast predicts rain, make sure to bring rain gear.
